The body is hand-crocheted in lustrous bronze satin, creating a rich, tactile surface that catches the light with every movement. A matching satin drawstring pouch closes the bag softly at the top, while polished gold-tone hardware adds further luminosity.
The defining feature is the extraordinary sculptural peacock handle. The peacock’s deep blue enamel body rises into a delicate golden crest, while its sweeping green tail curves over the bag to form the handle itself. Small blue enamel “eye” details punctuate the tail, with sculpted feathers continuing along the reverse.
Created in metal using the lost-wax casting technique, the handle is finished with 24 kt gold applications and hand-applied polychrome enamel, transforming a functional element into a miniature sculpture.
