Our sculpture bags
Lost wax bronze casting is an ancient artisan technique used to create the wonderful sculpture handles of our bags. This process begins with the creation of a detailed and precise wax model.
Next, the wax pattern is coated with a layer of refractory material, thus forming a heat-resistant mold. Once the mold is ready, it is heated to melt the wax and leave a blank. The molten bronze is then poured into the mold, taking the shape of the sculpture handle. After cooling, the mold is broken, revealing the bronze handle, ready for further work.
This ancient technique dates back millennia, with evidence of its first applications found in ancient civilizations. Today the art of lost wax bronze casting continues to be a form of artistic expression and craftsmanship, lending a unique touch to our accessories, intertwining historical tradition with modernity.
After the lost wax bronze casting phase, each handle is lovingly enameled by hand. This artisanal process adds a unique and finished touch, emphasizing the individuality of each piece. To further elevate the aesthetics, 24-karat gold plating is applied in some parts, giving it a timeless preciousness.
In some variations, the design is further enriched with the addition of Swarovski crystals, expertly set. These luminous details accentuate the beauty of the sculpture handle, as in the case of the panther handle, creating an extraordinary combination of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary sophistication.
